LEARNING OBJECTIVE

Measureable Learner Objectives

Students will gain the following skills during this course

  • Exhibit basic knowledge of the different types of Non Destructive Testing methods including principles, testing process, equipment and data analyses for each specific method
  • Understand the applications, advantages and limitations of each testing method
  • Be able to select one or more testing methods under diverse conditions for structure and material testing

TOPICAL COURSE OUTLINE

Course will cover background of nondestructive testing and inspection of materials. Components and assemblies will be evaluated for characteristics without the destruction of the sample. There will be an overview of visual inspection procedures, and the tools involved in inspection procedures. Principles of hydrostatic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, radiographic, and ultrasonic testing will be covered, as well as the inherent advantages and disadvantages of each method. It is also the purpose of this course to give learners the ability to select the appropriate testing method under different conditions for structure and material testing: to this end, the program will include a laboratory discussion followed by discussion.

TRANSFER POLICY

If a student is unable to attend a course, they may request to transfer to another date and/or location. Once a student elects to transfer, they are no longer eligible for a refund and must apply their tuition to a course that falls within one year of the original course date. Written notice is required and a $50 administration fee will apply per transfer. In order to transfer to another class, INDT must be given at least 10 business days notice of the transfer. Notifications of less than 10 business days will be subjected to INDT’s cancellation policy in addition to the $50 administrative fee.
